Today marks exactly one week until the end of my position at Rumblefish. This does not mean my relationship with Rumblefish has ended. In fact, it has grown into something bigger. This trip has grown into something bigger.

I'm under contract with Rumblefish to act as an independent ethnomusicologist. My job is to identify and document music-centric content from around the world. And I'll be doing it all by sailboat. The results of my work will be posted on this blog. I'm turning into something bigger.

In other news, many of you have asked where I'll be for any given date. At this point, it really isn't possible to determine that information, but I'll provide an estimate. Besides the Google map I created outlining the trip, here are the approximate dates for each country to be visited:

o June 27th – July 1st
Port: Geraldton, WA, Australia

o July 1st – July 15th
Passage: to Cocos (Keeling) Islands

o July 15th – August 1st
Port: Cocos (Keeling) Islands

Passage: to Port Louis, Mauritius

Passage: to Durban, South Africa

The destination after Brazil is unclear. I'll definitely keep this itinerary updated as I learn more.
